Introduction

Bring in the New Year with a bang in the charming city of Reykjavik. The city is dotted with public bonfires and, at midnight, amazing firework shows across the Arctic sky. This package includes accommodation in the city center, the Golden Circle tour, the Bonfire tour, New Year’s Eve celebration dinner party with a panoramic view of the city, and a perfect ending to the weekend: rejuvenate after the festivities by soaking in the healing waters at the Blue Lagoon Spa.

Itinerary

30.12: Arrival & Hunt for the Northern Lights
Upon arrival at Keflavik Intn Airport, your private chauffeur will await you and take you to your hotel in Reykjavik. You will be free for the rest of the day to explore Reykjavik, visit museums, landmarks and such. In the evening, you will be picked up for the hunt for one of nature’s most spectacular displays: the phenomenon of the dancing Northern Lights. Stay overnight at a hotel or guesthouse in Reykjavík.

Highlights: Reykjavik Downtown.
Activities: Northern Lights Mystery.

31.12: Golden Circle & New Year’s Festivities
Today you’ll be taken on a guided tour to see some of the highlights of Iceland on the Golden Circle. One of the many highlights is Þingvellir National Park, listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List and a site of immense beauty. From there you’ll be taken through the beautiful countryside towards an active geological area, to visit the incredible spouting hot spring, Geysir and Strokkur. We’ll then visit the beautiful waterfall Gullfoss, the queen of Iceland’s waterfalls and the old implosion crater, Kerið, before heading back to Reykjavik.

At 20:00, a gourmet New Year’s Buffet, prepared by award winning chefs, awaits you with Four Seasons hosted dinner show. After dinner and pre-drink, you will be transferred to a nice viewing point over Reykjavik to enjoy the fireworks over Reykjavik. Then, you have the opportunity to continue with the celebrations in the city centre with music and dancing throughout the night.

01.01: Blue Lagoon Relaxation & Departure
A great way to start the New Year and revitalize after the New Year’s festivities is to enjoy bathing and relaxing in the unique Blue Lagoon. You will be picked up at your hotel and taken to the lagoon for a relaxing swim, surrounded by a lava field, before heading to the airport in time for your afternoon flight.
