Mother Nature meets modern civilization in this city break to Europe’s northernmost capital! Reykjavik has all the cosmopolitan elements of a big city, including great dining, shops, museums, and nightlife. But that doesn’t mean you have to travel far to enjoy nature! This tour also brings you face-to-face with geysers, waterfalls, volcanic landscapes, wildlife, and more—all within a short drive from the city.

You also have your pick of superb restaurants and cafés in downtown Reykjavik along with a variety of bars and nightclubs if you wish to take part in the legendary Reykjavík nightlife. Spend the next six nights at a comfortable hotel or guesthouse in the heart of the city.

Day 2: Capital Area Highlights
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the capital area, including visits to the presidential residence at Bessastaðir, Perlan (“the Pearl”), and Höfði, the historic setting of the 1986 summit meeting between Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev. Other stops include the old harbour, the fish market (seasonal), the towering Hallgrimskirkja church, and Alþingi, the Icelandic Parliament. The tour also takes you to Hafnarfjörður, a neighbouring town rumoured to be inhabited by elves. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 3: The Golden Circle
Learn about Iceland´s unique geology and history with an enlightening guided bus tour along the famous “Golden Circle” route. Here, you will visit some of Iceland’s top attractions, including Þingvellir National Park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the great Geysir geothermal area with its spouting geyser and steaming hot springs, and Gullfoss, considered one of Iceland’s most beautiful waterfalls. Returning to Reykjavik, the tour makes a stop at the historical site of Skálholt, the ancient seat of Iceland’s bishops and a major political and cultural centre throughout the Middle Ages.
Highlights: Nesjavellir, Þingvellir, Gullfoss, Geysir, Strokkur, and Skálholt.

Let your cares slip away as you unwind in the saunas and steam baths or soak in the radiant white-blue waters with a silica mud mask on your cheeks. Renowned for the healing powers of its mineral-rich waters, this spa also offers optional skin treatments or in-water massages.* Bathing in this surreal environment is a unique experience that no one should miss!
