This highland adventure takes you to some of the less visited but starkly beautiful sights of the dramatic Icelandic interior, one of Europe’s last wildernesses. Visit places such as Landmannalaugar, Þingvellir National Park, the great Geysir area, Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon, Ásbyrgi canyon, and more. This package includes accommodation in Reykjavík, Varmahlíð, Lake Mývatn, Möðrudalur valley, Vatnajökull National Park and Hrauneyjar.

Itinerary

Highlights: Reykjavik.

Day 2: The Highland Interior, Gullfoss and Geysir

Climb into your rental car and head out to the rural countryside. Head to Þingvellir National Park before experiencing some of the best-known natural phenomena in Iceland: the great Geysir and Gullfoss waterfall.
