Introduction
In this short break to Iceland you can experience a once in a lifetime amazing natural wonder - the aftermath of volcanic eruptions in Eyjafjallajokull glacier. This vacation package can be customized to your needs, extra nights and activities can be added upon request
Itinerary
Day 1: A Warm Welcome to Iceland
On arrival to Keflavik, you will be met by your private chauffeur who will welcome you and transfer you to your accommodation in Reykjavík. For the rest of the day you will be free to explore Reykjavik, visit museums, landmarks and other places of interest. Downtown Reykjavík offers a plethora of excellent restaurants, cafés, bars and clubs. Stay overnight at a hotel or guesthouse in central Reykjavík.

Day 2: Once in a Lifetime Volcano tour
This morning we will pick you up at your accommodation and go on a super-jeep tour to see the area affected by the Eyjafjallajökull volcano.
The excursion takes us to Gigjökull wich is a glacierfall from Eyjafjallajökull. From gigjökull the melted ice from the eruption at Eyjafjallajökull came bursting down and created a destructive flood on its way to sea.
From Gigjökull and the destruction of the eruption we continue our tour to the beautiful Seljalandsfoss where the sure-footed can walk behind the cascade. On the way we will explore a spectacular hidden canyon with a unique flora, green moss walls and a beautiful waterfall. We will stop at a friendly restaurant where we have an authentic two course country lunch with the choice of Icelandic trout or lamb for main course (lunch included). After lunch the tour takes us through areas where no normal vehicle can go, travel through areas which were badly hit by ashfall in the beginning of the eruption and drive across glacial rivers on our journey to be able to view the eruption site (if possible due to weather conditions) at the height of 600-700 meters above sea level for an amazing view. Now it’s the Atlantic ocean with vast panoramic views. We will drive along the shore-line on dramatic black beaches on our way to the impressive Skógarfoss before we head back to Reykjavik.

Day 3: Departure With a Twist
Today, you will be picked up and taken to the Blue Lagoon geothermal seawater spa. The wonderful water and spa provide a last memorable taste of Iceland and ensures that you are fully unwound and rejuvenated when taken to Keflavik International airport in good time for an afternoon check-in. (Note: If your flight is in the morning, we will change your travel itinerary accordingly).
