Wonderful vacation
Hi Jonsi and Jon,
Thank you both for everything you did to make our family vacation a success. We had the most wonderful time in Iceland last month.
Jonsi, we really appreciated your help in selecting the appropriate package. "Express Iceland" was perfect for us: we felt like we got a great overview of your spectacularly beautiful country, and we got to experience every kind of weather imaginable :)
We were very happy with all of our hotel accomodations, and we wish we could have stayed even longer. Jon, you gave us tons of great advice and suggestions. We're so glad we made it to the Skogar Folk Museum (we met Mr. Thomasson, by the way, and he said that your grandmother was a great lady and one of his closest friends). We spent tons of time photographing icebergs at Jokulsarlon, just like you said we would. We weren't able to catch up with Peter, the chef in Myvatn. However, we did meet his step-brother,Konstantin, who took great care of us. It was Konstantin who told us that as well as being a fabulous tour planner and guide, you are also an excellent musician!
Myvatn was also where we experienced one of the highlights of the trip: Reykjahlid's hot springs. That was fantastic -- much better, we're sure, than the commercialized Blue Lagoon. Of course, the other highlight of the trip was the delicious lobster pick-me-up at the Seafood Cellar in Reykjavik! We loved every bite! Thanks for all the tips! We'd love to visit Iceland again someday.
