  • Day 3: The Golden Circle

A Golden Circle tour is a must for any traveller to Iceland as it introduces you to the natural sights of the south that the island is best known for. Stops along the tour include Gullfoss, an impressive glacial waterfall along the Hvitá river, followed by a visit to the Geysir geothermal region. While Geysir lies dormant, its neighbour Strokkur erupts every few minutes, gushing steam and water from the bowels of the earth. The Golden Circle also includes a visit to Þingvellir National Park, which is the site of the country’s first parliament along the edge of the great rift created by the drifting of the Eurasian and American tectonic plates.

  • Day 4: Geothermal indulgence at the Blue Lagoon

Enjoy a trip to the Blue Lagoon, one of Iceland’s top attractions, where you can relax in warm geothermal seawater surrounded by unearthly lava formations. Let your cares slip away as you unwind in the saunas and steam baths or soak in the radiant white-blue waters with a silica mud mask on your cheeks. Renowned for the healing powers of its mineral-rich waters, this spa also offers optional skin treatments or in-water massages.* Bathing in this surreal environment is a unique experience that no one should miss!

*We recommend booking optional treatments well in advance.

  • Day 5: The majestic waterfalls & black sand beaches of the South Coast

Enjoy a tour along the striking south coast of Iceland. The tour starts with the picturesque Seljalandsfoss waterfall, which is 40-metres high and its main attraction, besides the scenery, is the pathway leading behind the waterfall, giving visitors a chance to view the falls from within. Next up is a view of the vast glacier Sólheimajökull before continuing to Reynisfjara, the black sand beach. The last stop before heading back to Reykjavik is the graceful, 60-metre high Skógafoss waterfall to enjoy the surrounding and pose for the ideal photo op.

We had the BEST vacation in Iceland

We were extremely satisfied with our experience with Nordic Visitor. We had the BEST vacation in Iceland and look forward to returning! Thanks for arranging a great trip!

Experience was exemplary

I have travelled extensively both on my own and through organized, scheduled tours. My experience with Nordic Visitor was exemplary. Every tour was on time. We were picked up right in front of our hotel each day for our tours. The descriptions and time allowances for each tour were spot on. Nothing ever ran past the time it was supposed to end so we could schedule other things for the remainder of the day without fearing we might not be back in time. I can't say enough good things about Nordic Visitor Tours and the people who work there.
