  • Day 1: A Warm Welcome to Iceland

On arrival at Keflavik Airport, you will be greeted by a driver who will take you to your accommodation in Reykjavík. The rest of your day is free for exploring Reykjavik as you wish, perhaps with a scenic stroll around the old harbour or visits to museums and city landmarks. The downtown is very compact for walking and offers a range of excellent restaurants, cosy cafés and lively bars and clubs for those who want to experience the renowned Reykjavík nightlife.

Spend the next five nights in Reykjavík.

  • Day 2: Reykjavík City Walk & Northern Lights

Enjoy a guided small group walking tour in the heart of Reykjavik with a friendly local. Over the course of the 2-hour walk, your knowledgeable guide will introduce you to the landmarks and highlights of the downtown area while pointing out great restaurants, charming cafés and interesting activities available in Iceland’s charismatic capital city.

Later in the evening, if weather conditions allow, you will be taken for a tour in search of the magnificent northern lights, also known as aurora borealis.*

*Please note that the northern lights are a natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed.

  • Day 3: Journey around the Golden Circle

Visit some of Iceland’s most famous attractions with a guided personal small group tour (max: 19 persons) of the classic “Golden Circle” route in South Iceland. One of the many highlights on this journey is Þingvellir National Park, a place of great historical and geological significance that is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Other attractions include the beautiful two-tiered Gullfoss waterfall and the spouting hot springs Geysir and Strokkur. A taste of Icelandic food and drink is included during the tour. On return to Reykjavik, you will see the beautiful waterfall Faxi.

  • Day 4: Majestic Waterfalls and Black Beaches

Enjoy a tour along the beautiful southern coast of Iceland all the way to the village of Vík and back. We start with the picturesque Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Seljalandsfoss is 40 meters high and its main attraction, besides the scenery, is the fact that there is a pathway leading behind the waterfall and out the other side, giving visitors a chance to view the falls from within. The tour will also take you to the black volcanic sand beach south of Vík, Iceland’s southernmost village, to view the spectacular rock formations Dyrhólaey and Reynisdrangar. The last stop before heading back to Reykjavik is the graceful, 60 meters high Skógafoss waterfall.

  • Day 5: Day at Leisure

Today is a free day. Go on an optional excursion or simply enjoy the city as you wish. Downtown you will find a variety of interesting shops, design boutiques, museums and galleries, and the city offers many great thermal swimming pools and spas for those who crave extra relaxation. Today would also be ideal to try out a guided horseback ride or go on a whale watching tour from the city's old harbour.

    Optional Activity
  • Day 6: Departure with a Twist

Today you will be picked up and taken to the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa. The waters there are rich in silica and blue-green algae, giving the lagoon its reputed healing powers and signature blue colour. Relaxing in-water massages are available (optional; best if booked well in advance), and guests can unwind in the saunas and steam baths or get a natural massage under the Blue Lagoon waterfall. The spa provides a wonderful last memorable taste of Iceland, and ensures that you are fully rejuvinated when taken to Keflavik Airport in time for your check-in. (Note: If your flight is in the morning, we can change your travel itinerary accordingly.)

Please be advised that daylight is limited in Iceland during the winter months, with about 4-5 hours of daylight during the holidays, from December to January. Winter in Iceland is considered to be from October to April.

We don’t like to brag, so we’ll let our happy customers do it for us.

Much better than booking on our own

We booked a couple tours outside of Nordic Visitor and saw a huge difference between what you booked and what we booked ourselves. The quality of the tours from Nordic Visitor were so much better than what we booked on our own. We quickly regretted not working with you for our last minute additions. Hanna was great to work with and very accommodating with our requests. We recommended Nordic Visitor to many people we chatted with on our trip. Thanks for a great trip!

Wonderful experience!

Wonderful experience! Really appreciated the smaller size walking and bus tours, were more intimate and accessible. All the tour guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and competent. Made us feel welcome and we could relax and enjoy the scenery and learn about the country. Would definitely use Nordic Visitor in future!

Everything about this trip was so easy

Thor was excellent. Everything about this trip was so easy and Thor did an amazing job at assisting with all aspects, adding and changing our schedule and providing us with all the information necessary for an amazing trip. Well Done!

Thank you for making our trip to Iceland stress-free and absolutely flawless!

I only had to focus on relaxing and enjoying

Everything was well planned out giving me enough time to see plenty with enough time to explore Reykjavik as well. It was great to have all the tours booked for me before arrival, so I only had to focus on relaxing and enjoying all the beauty that Iceland has to offer. I will definitely consider booking another trip to Iceland or to any of the other locations Nordic Visitor offers. Thank you for such a great trip!
