  • Day 1: Arrival & Reykjavik Culture Walk

On arrival at Keflavik Airport, you’ll be met by your private driver and taken to your accommodation in Reykjavik. Take some time to relax and settle in before heading out into the city centre on a private walking tour, during which your guide will lead you to some of the  most unusual and original places in Reykjavik. Afterwards, spend the rest of the evening as you wish and enjoy the great selection of gourmet restaurants the city centre has to offer.

Spend the next three nights in Reykjavik.

    Highlights Optional Activity
  • Day 2: The Golden Circle Exclusive with a Twist

Today’s adventure is a private guided super-jeep tour of the Golden Circle, a popular tourist route that contains some of the country’s most famous attractions. The first stop is Þingvellir National Park, the site of Iceland’s first parliament and a place where you can walk in a rift valley between continents. Next is the Haukadalur geothermal area, home of Geysir—the original geyser—and the more active Strokkur, which spouts hot water into the air every few minutes.

Then after visiting Gullfoss waterfall, you will get to experience the thrill of gliding across the Langjökull glacier by snowmobile! On the way back you Reykjavik, you will also make a stop to the volcanic implosion crater of Kerið.

  • Day 3: Helicopter Tour over Volcanoes & Glaciers

Today you’ll be taken to the Reykjavik Domestic Airport for an exciting private helicopter tour. The aerial sightseeing includes the infamous Eyjafjallajökull volcano, the Mýrdalsjökull glacier on top of the brooding Katla volcano, and Hekla, the island’s most active volcano. Other volcanic sights include the Westman Islands, the site of a major eruption in 1973 and Surtsey Island, which emerged from the sea in the early 1960s. On the way back to the city you’ll also cross over the mountainous Hengill area, where geothermal heat is harnessed.

Spend the rest of the day back in Reykjavik as you wish, perhaps with a spa treatment or with an optional activity such as horse riding, caving, snorkeling or diving—just to name a few of your choices.

    Highlights
  • Day 4: Blue Lagoon Exclusive Lounge & Departure

Start the day with a private 4x4 super-jeep excursion to the volcanic Reykjanes Peninsula, where your guide will take you to the geologically active Lake Kleifarvatn area and the colourful Seltún area of Krýsuvík with its boiling mud-pots.

The highlight today is a visit to the famous Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa renowned for its mineral-rich waters surrounded by a moon-like lava field. Here you will enjoy a few hours in the Exclusive Lounge with complimentary towels, bathrobe, slippers and light refreshments as well as a deep, relaxing half-hour massage in the warm water of the lagoon. After this wonderful last memory of Iceland, your guide will take you onwards to Keflavik Airport for your departure flight.

Note: If your flight is in the morning, we can change your travel itinerary accordingly. We are also happy to customize your holiday with additional day tours or extra nights in Reykjavik. Please contact us for details.

Reviews

We don’t like to brag, so we’ll let our happy customers do it for us.

Impeccable Service

I just returned from a 4 day trip to Iceland with my 26 year old daughter to celebrate her birthday. This is my third visit to Iceland and her first. Given our short time i decided to use Nordic Visitor to plan our vacation. I must say this made it so much easier for us. Everything was extremely well coordinated and organized. Hilmar, our travel consultant was superb. He promptly answered all emails and was extremely knowledgeable. The entire tour package was exactly what we had requested and the accommodations at Guesthouse Sunna met our expectations for location, size of rooms, service and good good. On our Golden Circle Tour we had the most amazing tour guide, Arsthor. I have taken many tours over the years in different countries and he was by far the Best. I highly recommend this agency.

Excellent experience of Iceland

The staff and quality of the tour and accommodation made it an excellent experience of Iceland. Iris Angela did a wonderful job putting it together for us. We all have great memories of our trip.

Accommodation

Sleep soundly, in the accommodation type of your choice, and wake up ready to enjoy another day of exploration.
