  • Day 1: Arrival & Reykjavik Sightseeing

    On arrival at Keflavik Airport, you’ll be met by your private driver and taken to your accommodation in Reykjavik. Take some time to relax and settle in before heading out into the downtown on a private walking tour, during which your guide will lead you to some of the most unusual and original places in Reykjavik. After working up an appetite on the walk, enjoy a gourmet dinner at a fine city restaurant of your choice in the evening.

    After working up an appetite on the walk, you will enjoy the gourmet tasting menu at the charming Fish Market Restaurant in the old city centre.

    Highlights
  • Day 2: Golden Circle 4x4 & Snowmobile Adventure

    Today’s adventure is a private guided super-jeep tour of the Golden Circle, a popular tourist route that contains some of the country’s most famous attractions. The first stop is Þingvellir National Park, the site of Iceland’s first parliament and a place where you can walk in a rift valley between continents. Next is the Haukadalur geothermal area, home of Geysir—the original geyser—and the more active Strokkur, which spouts a stream of boiling water every few minutes.

    Then after visiting Gullfoss waterfall, you will get to experience the thrill of gliding across the Langjökull glacier by snowmobile! On the way back to Reykjavik, the tour also stops at the volcanic implosion crater of Kerið. Later this evening, you will indulge in a fine feast of traditional-meets-modern Icelandic cuisine at the trendy Grill Market Restaurant.

  • Day 3: Glaciers & Icebergs – Helicopter & Boat Expedition

    Today you’ll be taken to Reykjavik Airport for an exciting private helicopter tour. Flying east to the south coast, you’ll see the infamous Eyjafjallajökull volcano, numerous waterfalls, dramatic black sand beaches and the sea cliffs of Dyrhólaey and Reynisdrangar. On arrival to the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, you’ll enjoy a 45-minute private zodiac boat tour among the maze of icebergs.

    Heading back west, the flight path covers the Vatnajökull glacier, the Fjallabak nature reserve, the Landmannalaugar geothermal area, Mt. Hrafntinnusker and the Hekla volcano, among other unique sights. This is a rare opportunity to experience the most untouched parts of Iceland, like glacial rivers, lakes in volcanic craters and other primordial landscapes.

    During the whole tour there will be three landings. One is at the glacier lagoon but the other two depend on your own interest. Usually we land on Fimmvörðuháls by Eyjafjallajökull glacier volcano and at Hraftinnusker geothermal area.

    Back in the city, another type of adventure awaits: this evening your taste buds will be taken on an international culinary journey at the Fish Company Restaurant.

  • Day 4: Blue Lagoon Exclusive Lounge & Helicopter City Tour

    Start the day with a private 4x4 super-jeep excursion to the volcanic Reykjanes Peninsula, where your guide will take you to the geologically active Lake Kleifarvatn area and the colourful Seltún area of Krýsuvík with its boiling mud-pots. Then you’ll be taken to the famous Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa renowned for its mineral-rich waters surrounded by a moon-like lava field. Here you will enjoy a few hours in the Exclusive Lounge with complimentary towels, bathrobe, slippers and light refreshments as well as a wonderful hour-long massage in the warm water of the lagoon.

    Later, you’ll be transferred to the Reykjavik Airport for a private helicopter sightseeing tour over the capital area, which includes a champagne toast on a mountain summit with amazing views. And what better way to commemorate your last evening in Iceland than with a delicious seafood dinner at the cosy Torfan restaurant.

Outstanding and Knowledgeable

It was a last minute decision to visit Iceland especially when the volcano eruption was in the horizon. Jelena, our trip advisor was very patient and considerate. I would strongly recommend Nordic Visitor due to the following:

1- Fast response and friendly staff;
2- Knowledgeable;
3- The tour package was very comprehensive beyond expectation and flexible;
4- Every single detail was included and activities were carefully selected;
5- The accommodation location and comfort level was great.

We received the itinerary 2 days before we traveled to Iceland and once we reached everything was in order. No through study was required and we didn't miss anything.
