Getting to Iceland from Canada is easy. You can fly from major Canadian airports straight to Keflavík International Airport, Iceland’s main airport. It’s located only 50 km (30 miles) from Reykjavík, Iceland’s capital city, and the perfect starting point for your adventure.
Direct flights to Iceland from Toronto, Canada, take less than 6 hours. If you’re flying from Vancouver, you’ll reach Iceland in under 8 hours. You’ll have 2 main airlines to choose from:
• Icelandair: Offers direct flights from Toronto, Vancouver, and Halifax. You can also fly from other major Canadian cities, like Montreal or Edmonton, typically with a connection.
• Air Canada: Flies directly from Toronto and Montreal, giving you another reliable path for your trip to Iceland.
Keep in mind that flights aren’t included in Nordic Visitor packages. This gives you the flexibility to choose departure cities and dates that work with your schedule. Plus, it gives you the freedom to find the best deals or use airline miles to book your trip to Iceland from Canada.
We recommend checking airline websites for current flight availability and times, as schedules can change seasonally.
