First of all, we just loved our stay on Iceland. Everything was quiet perfect, the receptions on the hotels, the bedrooms, and the places you recommended to see.
About the "Tour Evaluation", we can say that the rate of service provided by Nordic Visitor was excellent, and the documents you send us by the chauffer and the information/meeting received before the tour were good. As I said before the standard of accommodation was excellent as the rental car. The standards of the meals were good. The itinerary was excellent (we loved Heimaey, especially the hotel).
Well, we were a bit surprised (positively) because we didn't have any references at all about your services (we knew about your travel agency by google), and we can say that if we return to a nordic country maybe it will be using the services of Nordic Visitor. The only thing we are disappointed is to never knew the person that make this perfect travel organization... But still thank you for all.

We think that the best time to travel depends on what you both enjoy, and how you like to travel as a couple. Iceland is an exceptional destination for jaw dropping landscapes and natural attractions, so year round it’s an amazing island to visit.
The summer offers temperate climates, long days to enjoy sightseeing and plenty of opportunities to hike and partake in activities like horse riding. As well as this, you’ll get to steal kisses under the midnight sun, a natural phenomena where the sun sets well into the evening. Romantic strolls of the city, active expeditions and comfortable temperatures are why you choose the summertime to visit.
The winter season is the perfect time to visit if you want a trip with a festive flair and extra opportunities to snuggle up warm together. You could snowmobile across the snowy tundra and then enjoy a cosy night in a luxurious hotel. Winter is prime time to view the magical and colourful northern lights and each night you’ll get the chance to see them.
Check out our comprehensive guide on the best time to visit Iceland, and choose your trip attractions and activities.
Iceland may not be the first destination to come to mind for a romantic trip away, but if you know the hidden gems and best places to visit, it’s an enchanting country, full of beautiful views that you will both adore.
One activity that we highly rate, is a dip in a geothermal spa or hot spring. Hot springs are a big part of Nordic culture and the world-famous Blue Lagoon and Mývatn Nature Baths are wonderful to enjoy as a couple.
Every attraction along the Iceland Ring Road is picturesque, especially during the brisk winter months. While the summer is the most popular time to visit, the colder months mean more chances to cosy up and enjoy each location.
You will fall in love with Reykjavik's Old Harbour neighbourhood. A must-visit, the area is lively with pretty seafront views and great bars and restaurants. Perfect for intimate dinners with a stunning view.
Delightful locations in Iceland are easy to find, and Instagram is a great resource for these honeymoon hotspots, so read our guide to them in our blog.

We think the best way to plan your Iceland honeymoon is by first deciding what you want to see and experience on your trip, and then the ideal time to visit. Once you have an idea of when you want to visit, you can decide how you want to see the country.
If this is your first time to Iceland we’d recommend travelling on the famous Golden Circle route. Made up of several natural attractions and important historical sights, this is a great introduction to the landscapes of Iceland. For more information, read our useful Golden Circle guide and if you want more first-time visit ideas, read our blog on the top places to visit in Iceland.
If the northern lights is at the top of your list, and snowmobiling through the countryside sounds like your idea of heaven, then visit in the winter months where you have more chances to cosy up in front of log fires and enjoy snowy landscapes. However, if you’re looking for endless summer days and outdoor pursuits such as hiking and snorkeling, a summer trip is for you. Read our blog on the best time to go to Iceland for more travel advice.
To find the right package, consider how you want to travel. Self drive packages are a great way to experience Iceland with a good deal of flexibility as you’re behind the wheel. Private tours offer a local guide’s expertise as you’re taken to each attraction and shown around. Another option is a multi-day tour, where you have plenty of time to explore as a couple but also get to join tours and enjoy the benefits that come with having a local guide.

Iceland is a country with a big heart, and there are plenty of ways to feel the love when travelling here.
Locals like to make time for relaxation, and hot spring culture is big over here. After all, there are few things more calming than a soothing dip. The Blue Lagoon is famous for its milky mineral waters and offers private spa treatments, ideal for a luxurious pamper. For a more intimate experience, the smaller Mývatn Nature Baths are a great way to treat yourselves and soak your muscles after a day of exploring.
An enchanting attraction that you could see if you visit during the winter is the northern lights. A natural phenomenon, it’s only viewable when the right conditions are in place but for those lucky enough to see the aurora borealis, it’s an unforgettable sight of colourful “ribbons” flickering and swirling in the night sky. For more information on the best time to go, check out our northern lights Iceland guide, or get in touch with a travel consultant to book a winter trip away.
Another must-do is a meal out in one of Reykjavik’s many romantic restaurants. Whether you want a cosy candle lit seafood supper, or a Michelin-rated 8-course tasting menu, the capital city is an amazing place to dine. For the best in local specialities, take a guided foodie walking tour of Reykjavik and enjoy a local guide’s perspective of Icelandic cuisine.
