  • Day 1: Welcome to Reykjavík & Northern Lights

On arrival to Keflavik International Airport, you will be greeted by a professional driver who will take you to your accommodation in Reykjavík. After settling in, the rest of the day is free for you to explore Reykjavik. You can stroll the charming capital city, visit museums, and explore landmarks. Downtown Reykjavík offers numerous excellent restaurants and cafés, as well as bars, for those who want to experience the renowned Reykjavík nightlife.

In the evening, get ready to search for the otherworldly northern lights. You will join a guided small group bus tour with a knowledgeable driver that will find a great spot to view the white, green and sometimes red lights dancing and flickering in the sky. Please note that northern lights are a natural phenomenon and we cannot guarantee sightings.

  • Day 2: The Golden Circle - Geysers & Waterfalls

Today you will visit some of Iceland’s most famous attractions with a personal guided small group tour of the classic Golden Circle route in South Iceland. One of the many highlights on this journey is Þingvellir National Park, a place of great historical and geological significance that is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Þingvellir is the site of the country’s first parliament and is located along the edge of the great rift created by the drifting of the Eurasian and American tectonic plates.Other attractions include the beautiful two-tiered Gullfoss waterfall and the spouting hot springs of Geysir. While Geysir lies dormant, its neighbour Strokkur erupts every few minutes, gushing steam and water from the bowels of the earth. A taste of Icelandic food and drink is included during the tour.

  • Day 3: The South Coast - Glaciers and Black Sand Beaches

Enjoy a guided small group tour along the striking south coast of Iceland. The tour starts with a visit to the picturesque Seljalandsfoss waterfall, which is 40-metres high and its main attraction, besides the scenery, is the pathway leading behind the waterfall, giving visitors a chance to view the falls from within. Next up is a view of the vast glacier Sólheimajökull before continuing to Reynisfjara, a hauntingly beautiful black sand beach. The last stop before heading back to Reykjavik is the graceful, 60-metre high Skógafoss waterfall to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and pose for the perfect picture.

Tour Information

We recommend that all our travellers read through the following information about what the tour includes, what to pack for your holiday and useful information about the activities that are included during the tour.

ADD-ON & OPTIONAL UPGRADES
Travellers can choose to add-on selected optional activities when booking online. Customers can also choose to upgrade bus tours to super jeep tours. It is also possible to add-on extra nights to packages along with customising the tours to client needs.

THE BLUE LAGOON
Please note that your scheduled transfer to the Blue Lagoon can be on a coach bus, with up to 70 fellow travellers.

The minimum age requirement for children at the Blue Lagoon is 2-years old. It is mandatory for children aged 2 to 8 to wear inflatable armbands while in the lagoon. These are provided free of charge. Please note that only two (2) children under the age of 10 can be admitted into the lagoon per guardian.

THE NORTHERN LIGHTS, DAYLIGHT HOURS & WEATHER CONDITIONS
The best months to experience the northern lights are October through April, with peak visibility from December through February. Please note that as the northern lights are a natural phenomenon, we cannot guarantee sightings even if the tour is operated.

Please be advised that daylight is limited in Iceland during the winter months, with 4-5 hours of daylight from December to January. However, fresh snowfall often gives the appearance of more light, and it is common that houses, streets and businesses are lit up with Christmas lights, so don't fear that you will be travelling in complete darkness.

Although the winter climate in Iceland is generally mild compared to other northern European countries, the temperature can drop below freezing at times. Please bring windproof and waterproof outerwear and plenty of warm layers. Please note that the programme is dependent upon weather and road conditions, and may be altered if conditions are not favourable. For information on weather conditions and daylight hours we recommend visiting our extensive Online Travel Guide

CURRENCY RATE
All bookings are charged in Icelandic Króna (ISK), the official currency of Iceland. Prices displayed in other currencies are indicative only and based on the daily exchange rate as issued by the Central bank of Iceland. Therefore, conversions from ISK to other currencies will fluctuate from day to day.
