Great service

The little gems along the way were a great touch. We really enjoyed the secret hot springs and homemade ice cream (Efstidalur) that Arnar made notes of on our map. The map with the highlighted routes and stops was a lifesaver. The planning and prebookings were also a relief so everything was along the way and easy to get through. Overall, we were impressed with how well planned everything was. Great service!

We saw the Northern lights

Amelia and myself really enjoyed the tour. I was very surprised that the tour was happening although there were only five of us. We really appreciate it very much that you made the tour happened as Amelia could not travel on other timings. Hotels were comfortable and meals were good. The tour itinerary met our expectation as we were introduced to what Iceland could offer as a whole. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and told us interesting stories. I have never heard of Iceland sagas before this trip. He was so enthusiastic about the Northern Lights! I am so glad I saw it and he took a photo of us for our remembrance. After seeing it on 15 April he still continued to go out on subsequent evenings to see if we could view it further as he said that might a chance to see it. That was commendable although we did not see it again.

Did not miss one thing on the way

The maps have been great - very well prepared with and in combination with the daily itinerary we did not miss one thing on the way. Overall great service and amazing experience in Iceland! Intentionally we did not book the cheapest tour, but we have been surprised by the above standard for accommodation and customer service.

Fantastic tour

Overall, I really have a great experience for this tour. The tour guide, Trausti (hope never spell wrongly) is a great guide and very knowledgeable. He also show his professionalism when chasing the Northern Lights till the last night of the tour (Last night of the tour he still bring us to see Northern Lights) This is a fantastic and great tour.

Very impressed

Am very impressed by the prompt and detailed replies from Sigfus and his arrangements. Highlighted maps and itinerary gave us assurance and his excellent service met our expectations. We are especially pleased with our accommodation, with each of its own uniqueness from a refreshing stay in a refurbished container with the view of the glacier to a quaint guesthouse overlooking the prairie with Icelandic horses.

Customised self-drive 12-day tour of Iceland

Our experience with our tour agent Helga of Nordic Visitor from the time of our initial booking to the end of the trip was a pleasant and excellent one. Response was timely and comprehensive. She was proactive in customizimg our requirements to a 12-day self drive tour. We had a Citroen mid-size rental car which was comfortable and reliable. Hotels of comfort standard were generally good. All in all, I would recommend Nordic Visitor to friends and relatives.
