We will also visit the Gullfoss waterfall and the Geysir geothermal area, where the Strokkur geyser spouts hot water every few minutes. The last stop in this area will be at the Friðheimar farm, where we’ll get to taste geothermally-grown tomatoes from their greenhouse.

Enjoy a group dinner (either buffet or set menu) with your fellow travellers.

Next is a stop to the magnificent Skógafoss waterfall and the Skógar folk museum that displays interesting artifacts from Iceland’s old farming and fishing days.

The last stop of the day is at the black sand volcanic beach near the village of Vík í Mýrdal. Here, you will be able to see the spectacular rock arch and bird nesting cliffs of Dyrhólaey and the Reynisdrangar basalt columns jutting out of the ocean.

Breath-taking natural wonders!

Our guide/driver was friendly, knowledgable, and a delight, sharing sagas and stories, which added to our knowlege and enjoyment tremendously...sites were all wonderful...Iceland is such a hidden treasure we'd never known about and are happy to share our experiences with others and encourage them to visit your wonderful country of breath-taking natural wonders!

Thanks for everything

Our tour guides we awesome. The lady that did our city tour was well informed and kept the kids entertained. After that tour, I was looking for street art whenever we walked somewhere. Our tour guide that we had for the golden city tour was well versed and loved her job. Throughout the whole experience, I never had a bad customer service experience and welcomed by all. We were a bit bummed that it snowed the second day, but that only last a little bit. Since moving to the UK the kids haven't seen snow, so it was fun to have a snowball fight. Thanks for everything, the trip was grand.

We saw the Northern lights

Amelia and myself really enjoyed the tour. I was very surprised that the tour was happening although there were only five of us. We really appreciate it very much that you made the tour happened as Amelia could not travel on other timings. Hotels were comfortable and meals were good. The tour itinerary met our expectation as we were introduced to what Iceland could offer as a whole. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and told us interesting stories. I have never heard of Iceland sagas before this trip. He was so enthusiastic about the Northern Lights! I am so glad I saw it and he took a photo of us for our remembrance. After seeing it on 15 April he still continued to go out on subsequent evenings to see if we could view it further as he said that might a chance to see it. That was commendable although we did not see it again.

Sorry to leave

Anita was great. She set up our itinerary and had things lined up and answered all my questions promptly and efficiently. Tour guide was awesome. I cannot praise her highly enough. She was highly professional, and still warm, personable, friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and handled a diverse group beautifully. The greenhouse was fascinating. And, I thought the addition of a few hours at a local farmer's home was the icing on the cake. We got to meet a farmer and his family and get a sense of what life is like for them. Super! I was sorry to leave and want to come back!

Special trip

Iceland was a very special trip for me. I had been wanting to go to Iceland since 1970. Our Nordic tour was excellent and highlighted the natural wonders that I wanted to see, but I did not want to do all the driving. The tour and our guide gave us a sense of place and a knowledge that further enhanced our extended journey that included a self drive week in western Iceland and a further 8 days in Reykjavik. Appreciated the smaller tour group of 16 people rather than a large bus tour. I felt sorry for the rest of the nice group of people who participated in the 9 days of the Nordic tour because they all left Iceland after the tour, and we stayed on for another 2 1/2 weeks +. I love Iceland and I hope I can return sometime. Thank you Nordic Visitor and Iceland and Icelanders.

Truly amazing

Arnar was my Nordic Representative. very good. Our guide Christine provided an excellent tour for us. I am so glad we chose to go with the guided tour. The history, geography, culture and stories of Iceland told to us by Christine made our trip so rich. The Natural Wonders are truly amazing!
