On arrival at Keflavik International Airport a driver will pick you up and drive to your accommodation in Reykjavik. Today features a guided walking tour that focuses on local food, starting at Harpa Concert Hall by the harbour.

This tour visits 6 unique restaurants ranging from must-see haunts to small family run businesses to secret local hangouts. Participants can try the best local food in each season, like delicious Icelandic lamb that every Icelander grew up loving, homemade Icelandic ice cream, a local cheese, traditional Skyr, a hot dog from the famous Icelandic hot dog stand, and fresh seafood.

The rest of the afternoon is free for you to explore the vibrant city centre with its abundance of museums, restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. If you're interested in checking out Icelandic design or experiencing the city's thriving coffee culture, head to the main street, Laugavegur, and enjoy its various shops and cosy cafes.

Spend the next two nights in Reykjavik.

Today's tour is an exciting twist on the Golden Circle. This tour, by 4x4, includes the treasures of the Þjórsárdalur valley with waterfalls, canyons and hiking added to the classic Golden Circle tour of Gullfoss, Geysir and Þingvellir. The tour visits the highlands on the way to Háifoss, Iceland’s second highest waterfall, where the two rivers Þjórsá and Fossá combine to form a kind of double waterfall. Next up is a hike through the beautiful Þjórsárdalur valley, (a game of thrones filming location) and visit the farm Stöng, which was reconstructed from ruins dating back to the Commonwealth era in Iceland. The tour includes a stop at the Secret Lagoon to bathe and swim in the warm geothermal water. Note that some of the sights today may be weather dependent.

Passengers departing on an afternoon flight will have time to relax at the world famous Blue Lagoon. Known for its healing mineral-rich waters surrounded by jet-black basalt lava—it‘s a perfect way to end your visit to Iceland. Bathing in the warm water will soothe your body and nourish your skin. From the Blue Lagoon, a shuttle bus will transport you to Keflavík Airport.

Due to renovations the Blue Lagoon is closed from the 24th through the 27th of April 2017 (both days included).

Note: If your flight is in the morning, we’ll change your travel itinerary accordingly.
