  • Day 4: Off The Beaten Track: Hiking, Delicious Food Tasting & Farm Visits

    Taste of nature is a delicious day tour where we crisscross through quiet country roads into the heart of West Iceland. Along the way, we make frequent stops to enjoy the beautiful scenery, take short hikes and savour the local food. The highlight of the tour is a farm visit where we get a chance to meet the farmers, hear their story and taste their honest food produce where old traditions meet modern innovation. To increase our appetite the tour includes a short hike, where we visit natural attractions such as waterfalls, ravines and lava fields.

    The tours vary from day to day and so does the food, but among the tasty food from West Iceland you may find excellent lamb meat, goat and cow cheese, traditional skyr, vegetables and strawberries from geothermally heated greenhouses – just to name a few. West Iceland offers a good variety of stunning landscapes such as wondrous waterfalls, rugged lava fields, salmon rivers, mountains and valleys and we have picked some less known natural jewels along our trail for this tour. This small group tour will stop for lunch near Deildartunguhver, Europe's most powerful hot spring, providing 180 l/sec of 100°C hot water. The food is included and consists of a combination of local delicacies.

    Spend the night in Reykjavik.

  • Day 5: The Famous Blue Lagoon & Departure

    Today you will be picked up by a shuttle bus and taken to the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa. This is the most visited attraction in Iceland, and is therefore a must-see when you visit. Bathing in the soothing water amid natural lava surroundings is a memorable experience. A silica mud mask is included in the entrance fee along with a drink of your choice. Relaxing in-water massages are available (optional; best if booked well in advance), and guests can unwind in a sauna and steam bath or get a natural massage under the Blue Lagoon waterfall. The spa provides a wonderful final memory of Iceland, and ensures that you are fully rejuvinated when taken to the airport in time for your check-in.

    Note: If your flight is in the morning, we can change your travel itinerary accordingly.

Outstanding and Knowledgeable

It was a last minute decision to visit Iceland especially when the volcano eruption was in the horizon. Jelena, our trip advisor was very patient and considerate. I would strongly recommend Nordic Visitor due to the following:
1- Fast response and friendly staff;
2- Knowledgeable;
3- The tour package was very comprehensive beyond expectation and flexible;
4- Every single detail was included and activities were carefully selected;
5- The accommodation location and comfort level was great.
We received the itinerary 2 days before we traveled to Iceland and once we reached everything was in order. No through study was required and we didn't miss anything.

Most professional and efficient service ever

From when we first made inquiries about visiting Iceland, we got the most professional and efficient service that we've EVER received before. We couldn't fault any aspect of the 3 weeks we spent in Iceland.

Sleep soundly, in the accommodation type of your choice, and wake up ready to enjoy another day of exploration.
