Iceland Grand Tour, September 2017

Very happy with the level of organisation and information

I was very happy with the level of organisation and information that we were given for our trip. I loved that we got to keep a book that represented the sites visited on our trip. The big map with the route and sites to visit marked on it was also appreciated. We only needed to call the office once during our trip to change the itinerary and Larus was very accommodating. I would definitely use Nordic Visitor again.

We had zero stress our whole trip

The combined organisation of your staff has been incredible. When a snow storm hit Iceland we were contacted by consultants and alternative accomodation was arranged without additional costs. We had zero stress our whole trip as a result of excellent forethought, planning and distribution of the information needed for our trip. Also the tips marked on the map about food, sightseeing things etc were a gold mine. We used the travel guide with sightseeing locations and suggestions from all the staff on our entire drive throughout Iceland and it added to our experience tenfold. Any of the additional costs of using your company rather then booking everything ourselves was 100% worth it, There is no way we could have researched all the things Sirry suggested to us and booked it ourselves. It really was the trip of a lifetime and it was all thanks to Sirry and the wonderful staff at Nordic Visitor.

Suggested route and highlights were all spot on

We normally make all our own bookings when travelling, however were very pleased with the Nordic Visitor package. The suggested route and highlights were all spot on, and there were no issues whatsoever with any of the bookings. It all went very smoothly and allowed us to concentrate on seeing the sights :)

Wonderfully organized…

...and great help from a very knowledgable agent at Nordic Visitor (Solveig). It was also very good value and I believe cheaper than had we tried to organise the same thing on our own. The accommodation all over Iceland was really excellent and some would be highlights or favorites we'll remember a long time

Much better than we had expected

All the guesthouses we stayed in were very very comfortable. Much better than we had expected and the owners were all lovely. We always had a good home cooked breakfast and sometimes a dinner was provided at a cost of course. We were so glad we had chosen the "budget" accommodation to experience being in someone's home and meeting others staying there. Would highly recommend this type of accommodation. Found driving around Iceland quite easy. It is the only way to do it rather than be with a tour bus. The GPS helped a lot as did the general maps. The main map was excellent where our route was plotted out for us. Just loved the whole experience. Each day seemed to be better than the previous such a beautiful country of contrasts. Put plenty of photos on Facebook and so many of our friends did not realise how amazing and picturesque Iceland is.
