We recommend that all of our travellers read through the following information about what the tour includes, what to pack for your holiday and useful information about the activities included on the tour.
INFORMATION ABOUT OUR MULTI-DAY TOURS
All accommodation and planned activities (as specified in the itinerary) will be pre-booked by Nordic Visitor. This is a multi-day tour package with no dedicated tour guide for the duration of your stay. For each planned activity, you can expect a different tour operator and guide, and you will have free time in-between activities. Nordic Visitor works with a small group of trusted operators that the company has strong professional relationships with.
ADD-ON & OPTIONAL UPGRADES
Travellers can choose to add-on selected optional activities when booking online. Customers can also choose to upgrade bus tours to super jeep tours. It is also possible to add-on extra nights to packages along with customising the tours to client needs.
MIDNIGHT SUN, DAYLIGHT HOURS & WEATHER CONDITIONS
Please be advised that while long, bright nights last for around 3 months of the summer season, the midnight sun occurs in Reykjavik between 16-29 of June when the sun sets after midnight. For more information on weather conditions and daylight hours, we recommend visiting our extensive Online Travel Guide.
THE BLUE LAGOON
Please note that your scheduled transfer to the Blue Lagoon can be on a coach bus, with up to 70 fellow travellers.
The minimum age requirement for children at the Blue Lagoon is 2-years old. It is mandatory for children aged 2 to 8 to wear inflatable armbands while in the lagoon. These are provided free of charge. Please note that only two (2) children under the age of 10 can be admitted into the lagoon per guardian.
THE SECRET LAGOON
The Secret Lagoon is located in the small village of Fluðir, near the Golden Circle region. The geothermally-heated pool has been kept natural and unique for guests to bathe in beautiful surroundings and maintain an authentic feel. The pool’s steam rises into the air, giving the pool a mystical vibe. The warm water stays at 38-40 Celsius all year.
Snowmobiling tours allow guests to get up close to the actual snow and ice in Iceland. Tour guides provide safety information and all gear needed for your ride. After you‘re outfitted and informed, it‘s time to take to the snow. Tours are family friendly, but passengers must be above the age of 6. Drivers must have a valid driver‘s license. Please note that two people share a snowmobile and take turns driving.
INTO THE GLACIER
Visitors get the rare opportunity to explore a manmade ice tunnel in one of Iceland’s massive glaciers, Langjökull. Travellers are driven onto the glacier by a customised truck, fitted with crampons and led into the ice, where one can see crevices, touch the tunnel walls and learn facts about glaciers on informational signs.
All bookings are charged in Icelandic Króna (ISK), the official currency of Iceland. Prices displayed in other currencies are indicative only and based on the daily exchange rate as issued by the Central bank of Iceland. Therefore, conversions from ISK to other currencies will fluctuate from day to day.
