The first stop is Þingvellir National Park, an area full of unique geology and the site of Iceland’s ancient assembly grounds. Next is Haukadalur valley, the home of Geysir—the original geyser—and the Strokkur hot spring that spouts boiling water up to 30 metres high every 8 – 10 minutes. Next up is the beautiful Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls where visitors will have time to explore the rolling landscape surrounding the thundering falls . • Day 4: Delve Deep Into the Glacier & Super Jeep Adventure*

Start the day in the Icelandic countryside on a thrilling super-jeep tour with a knowledgeable driver/guide. Sights include Deildartunguhver—the largest hot spring in Europe, the stunning Hraunfossar ‘lava waterfalls’. You will then drive along a dramatic highlands road leading to the desolate and hauntingly beautiful Kaldidalur valley, making your way to Langjökull, the second largest glacier in Iceland. At Langjökull, you will have the opportunity to venture “Into the Glacier” (weather depending) via an impressive man-made tunnel deep into the ice. Here, you will learn about the glacier and see amazing blue ice formations, an experience that very few in the world have had.

Continue to Hvalfjörður [Whale Fjord] were you will see reminders of the British presence in the area during World War II and see the small whaling station in the fjord.
