VISITING ICELAND FROM IRELAND

With a growing number of airlines flying from Ireland to Iceland, it’s never been easier to visit the Land of Fire and Ice. Flights times to Keflavik International Airport in Iceland are just 2.5 hours non-stop from Dublin.

From the moment you step out of the airport on arrival, you’ll be surprised by how quickly the scenery changes in Iceland and how many natural attractions you can experience in a short time. On a city break in Reykjavik you can visit the popular Blue Lagoon geothermal spa and the famous sights of the Golden Circle route. In a week or more around the Ring Road you’ll come across waterfalls, iceberg lagoons, volcanic beaches, hot springs, lava fields and more.

Nordic Visitor has a wide variety of tour packages for all seasons, including easily tailored self-drive tours, Reykjavik city breaks, private tours and guided small group tours.

All itineraries are designed to be well-structured yet personalised, and you’ll have your own Reykjavik-based travel consultant at your service before, during and even after your tour. For extra peace of mind, all clients have access to our 24/7 helpline while travelling in Iceland.

As local travel experts in Iceland, Nordic Visitor always goes the extra mile to ensure that you're safe on the road. With all self-drive tours, we provide a brochure about driving in Iceland, a road map marked with your route, accommodations and highlights, free GPS, unlimited in-car Wi-Fi and much more. We also provide 4x4 car rental options, which we especially recommend for winter driving.

Want to see the northern lights in Iceland? Dark nights are required for viewing this natural phenomenon, so a winter tour between October and March is best for a chance of sightings.

When you're ready to start planning your trip to Iceland, browse below for popular tours. Or get in touch via our live chat or toll-free numbers so we can help you plan the holiday of a lifetime.

Iceland Full Circle Classic, August 2020

A fantastic experience

We loved our trip to Iceland and found it a beautiful and dramatic landscape full of unique places to visit. Nordic Visitor provided us with all the information we needed on our tour, and suggested highlights particularly suited to what we wanted to see and do. Overall it was a fantastic experience which has left us keen to revisit Iceland again one day.

South & West Iceland Classic - Winter, January 2020

Loved everything about Nordic Visitor!

Everything was top notch! The tours were great and I loved that they were never overbooked, or crowded. Only one comment....we LOVED hotel Magma! Loved everything about Nordic Visitor! Everything was done perfectly. Never once was there an error with any of the reservations! Check-ins were seamless - never once was there a question or fumbling for papers. Each destination was ready for us and exactly what we requested!

William, Germany

Iceland Ultimate Adventure, August 2020

Excellent service!

Due to the SARS-CoVid-19 conditions, the trip was more than expected. Unfortunately for Iceland itself, not many tourist were there to help with the economy. The service and communications with Silja and the others of Nordic Visitor was excellent and could tell they were trying their best to keep us informed of the consistently changing conditions due to SArS-CoVid-19. It was a shame that we did not have time at the end of the trip to stop by the office again and discuss the trip.

Iceland Full Circle Classic - Winter, March 2020

Fantastic from start to finish

Would highly recommend Nordic Visitor to anyone wishing to visit Iceland. The itinerary, and information provided before the start of our tour was excellent and took care of all our concerns. Despite travelling in some of the worst weather conditions Iceland could throw at us we were only a phone call away from Nordic Visitor and the in car WiFi was a real bonus. All our concerns-snowed in, in the south, at Saeluhus I Landbroti with breakfast 4 km away and again snowbound at Gauksmýri in the north and unable to travel on- were dealt with rapidly and became part of the adventure rather than a worry.  Thank you Nordic Visitor for a memorable visit to your stunning country. Thank you for keeping us updated with the Coronavirus news and how it may have impacted on our travels. A big thank you to all the accommodation owners who went out of their way to make sure we were kept as safe as possible given the exceptional circumstances.

Very well planned trip!

We would definitely recommend Nordic visitor. It was very well planned and easy for us to simply enjoy ourselves and take in what Iceland has to offer! Thanks for organising our trip! During Covid times it was touch and go about whether we could actually go, but we did get there and it was amazing!

Flawless experience

Nordic Visitor made our entire experience flawless. From the planning and booking to the holiday itself. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience

Norway in a Nutshell® Classic - Winter, January 2020

Wonderful experience!

It's intimidating visiting a foreign country where you don't speak the language. Our fears were put to rest the moment we started our tour, the whole experience was just wonderful. Everything was wonderful, our tour was carefully planned and made the maximum use of our time.

Cindy, Switzerland

Iceland Ultimate Adventure, July 2020

Everything went super good!

Nordic Visitor is a great company and I definitely recommend booking with them. You may pay a bit more than if you would plan your trip yourself, but in my case, booking last minute and having no time to do my researches, I was really happy with this solution. Iceland is a very big country and you need to have some information before you get there. Nordic Visitor gave me all the important information and everything went super good!
